    Arabs and jews were originally brothers if you believe the writings... Two sons of abraham, ishmael (arab) and isaac (jewish). To cut a long story short, they fell out thousands of years ago and bred into the two races we see now. The muslim religion only came about in the 7th century (I think) when mohammed arived.

    However despite the stuff previously put about them hating each other, mohammed welcomed the jewish tribes and the christian settlers. He felt the infant muslim faith could learn from them. The area was largely arab but had jews etc. The jewish tribes were allied to other arab tribes and when the early wars for mecca and other cities started a few major jewish tribes got caught on the losing sides opposed to mohammed. This caused minor tension, but other jewish tribes were allied to mohammed. Mohammed can be quoted as saying jews and christians are not enemies, they are friends of a previous revelation (eg jews have god + old testament, christians have holy trinity and new testament).

    Despite quarrels and other troubles through the centuries jews and muslims did co-exist, it was largely after the creation of israel and the arab-israel war that the scale of hatred we see today was established.

    All that over two fucking brothers! I think the jews would kick some schmuck tusch (pardon my yiddish) because money = power and most arab/muslim nations are primitive in so many ways. Is it a co-incidence that israel is the only 'civilised' nation in the middle east? Hmmm...
