Nar its not new, I've seen it for on peoples screenshots for about a year, but never managed to get the name of it.
I mean it's new for Vista. None of the graphics bods here know what it is and they can spot pretty much any typeface that is in popular use.
Ahhhh. It looks like a cross between Arial & Tahoma, if you manage to find out what it is, let me know please ... I wouldn'd mind downloading it.
Have a look on Wincustomize. You can get skins for windows and stuff.. so it may be possible to find the font somewhere round there. ps.. you need windowblinds to skin windows..
well, it looks nice but its lagging like fuck, plus for some reason my floppy drive was being accessed constantly for about 40 mins, and i couldnt get nowt installed might take me some time to ge used to this
what makes it so good? the look of it, you can make windows look like that with customisation programs
You can't, there are quite a few things the GUI does that no skinning app can do to XP. You have to see it running to get the fuss. It's not that much better, hardly worth the extra hardware overheads IMHO.
DX10 will be the main reason for majority of the male population to install this.. Some of the effects it can create look insane!
Have a look at the trailer for Crysis This is the next generation of graphics technology.. It looks awesome.. I might have to either buy a major graphics card or go sli for this one..
