    upgrade

whats the best way to upgrade your PC.

it's just becoming a bit slow and i just wana quickenin it up a bit really.

    40GB HDD
    1.6GHz
    128MB of Ram

it's basically for playing footy manager

gameplay is quite slow in the new FM's since they have loads to process

i heard that if you try to upgrade the memory too much, your PC can't handle it it does more damage than good?

if i got 1GB of Ram would it make a big difference/make my PC loads faster? or owuld i have to upgrade from 1.6 to well over 2GHz as well as upgrade the Ram?

    i have no clue :dunce:

any help would be much appreciated :)

you should have at least half a gig of ram. That will make a massive difference.

Also, what version of windows are you using?

using xp. so if i get either 512 or 1Gb of ram, that alone should make a massive difference n make my PC whizz along much quicker?

i HEARD XP works well with 512RAM - More than that is nice for video editting other media apps - but not always necessary. As always, get it if u can afford it - but i'd splash out on a decent video card if u wanna play games...

i don't either really, just champ man/footy manager, wasnt too bad in years gone by but the new versions gameplay is slow as hell

does it matter what make of Ram i get, i.e. is there certain types for different types of PC or r they all the same and just need chucked in
