you've got the hard disk on the 2nd IDE cable as the MASTER

CAN YOU SWAP THE CDROM & HARD DISK CABLES?

ALSO, can u set the CDROM to to MASTER as it's seems to be set to SLAVE

i'm stumped i don't get why its putting it on the secondary master and not the primary.

only thing i can ssuggest now is put the jumper in all the different positions until it goes onto pri master. trial and error sort of thing

swapping those cables round is the easiest thing I have done all day.

Yes - IF, however u can't get at the jumpers - it's not major - you'll just have to make sure that IDE3 is set as a boot option

Primary Master : IDE 0
Primary Slace : IDE 1
Secondary Master : IDE 2
Secondary Slave : IDE 3


have the boot options :
Boot 1 = CDROM
Boot 2 = IDE0
Boot 3 = IDE3

turn off - check the connections. only have 1 at a time connected.

seems as though cables were stuck in fan

now the computer comes on, although there is no monitor signal? IT IS PLUGGED IN THIS TIME
