    people sometimes use the wrong terms - of course u can get an engineer to 'produce' your track, it still means you're the ARTIST. :rolleyes:

    It depends on what the producer/engineer actually did. If you sat there and worked with him, and said what you wanted, then i dont see a problem. You may just want their production sound with your music.
    If you dont do anything, and just pay them to make you a track and stick your name on then i think its lazy, pointless and ignorant.
    Excluding the likes of pussy cat dolls, girls aloud and other artists along those lines. I would have thought everyone who has had a track produced for them has sat there, and gave their opinion on what they want or how it feels.
    I would love the oportunity to sit with an amazing producer and tell them what I want and see how it comes out.
