just as well most of you are to young to have drank in the toon back in the late 70s and all the 80s it was rough as fuck
ive seen some nasty things over the years but mdma stopped a lot of the trouble in town for a good few years, still think it was a lot worse back then tho

Theres a few rough pubs along from me The New Tavern, The Bird and The Speculation. Usually when I walk in theres at least 2 people unconscious on the bar

It used to be great watching the riots on derby days, until they banned the pubs from showing it

i've seen people coming out of the turf with blood pissing out of their head. a result of a pool cue or bar stool.

i've also seen the massive fights on front street & on middle street.

i was at work when the 1 way system outside of 70's was cordend off after someone had punched someones window out & then tried to get back in the pub. he was knocked unconscious by someone who was then beaten by his mates. his nanna had 300 quid nicked by one of her relatives...was funny as fuck

seen a lass being led for firstaid after someone had slashed her face for accidently standing on her toe.

i know the lad who got put away for bashing someone so badly with a bar stool in the coach that he had to wear one of those metal supports on his jaw for over a year.

my list is endless for nights out that have ended in violence...

the chinkies bar used to be a really bad place for the shit hitting the fan

consett is a fucking shit hole...

as is the golden lion in leadgate

The New Tavern @ Concord, Washington. My local, also local to some complete utter pycopaths, drug dealers, general thugs & wifebeaters. Good crack though if you no everyone:up:
