    Because:

    It devalues the brand
It risks attracting more scallies to future Promise events
It makes me look like an idiot for going on about how good Promise was
Ikon can put him on themselves if they want
    It's shit.

Suppose its all about ££'s at the end of the day, and will be packed though not with the sort of crowd that made promise what it was a few years ago.

Why should anyone ask for views or thoughts? The regulars on here only represent a small minority of those who went to Promise anyway. It's up to Mark what he does with the brand.

    my quote of :

it's not the promoters fault - it's the clubbers tastes up that have changed - hence wax: on and the dig are still popular - it's what the COOL KIDS like

should have been more specific to TRANCE not being popular, shindig have always been popular and wax: on seem to be giving the current batch of young clubbers what they want - - i think you'll agree that we all have the same feelings you do about ikon, it's crowd and why anyone would put a night on there with that kind of line up - however as it's been said on here many times before - we LOYAL board members are only a small part of the so-called Promise crowd and our wants and needs seem to matter very little and we have nothing to do with it

    Sad but true.

One or two clubs might ask, but the vast majority wouldn't! It's a business, not a community effort. Yes, it may be sad, but that's the way it goes.

Gauging the opinion of a few people on here is hardly going to contribute towards a sound business decision though is it? This is the board that called and called for lesser-known DJs to be put on at Promise, and when they were the club wasn't exactly packed.
