Don't think it's down to making money for a living, I'm pretty sure he'll rely on Promise for that............not

Looks like it could be down to Ikon I think, Ikon whether you like or not have a big following on a Saturday night and will be wanting to make as much money on the bar and/or door as they will any other night as they are a business, and businesses don't run at a loss hence the ridiculous hiring of Pearce - who will pull in all the divvys and Deakin is probably banking on the hardcore Promise crowd showing up

Mark should come on here and answer your questions coz this thread is just going to turn into a load of bollocks like the other one

Exactly. I doubt they'd hand over one of their busiest nights without getting something in return.

    the hardcore promise crowd?

no way. dP at Ikon? and why does he need to come on here an explain himself? he doesn't have to.

it's abouit making money of the promise brand - and who's to blame him.

ikon is well busy on a satu night - BUT by having the Promise brand above it - it can only add to it - but it won't be bringing in the original promise followers - it'll appeal to the later followers who came for the occasional big names and do the arena events.

To Be honest this is not about cash or Promise return .
Ikon wanted us to do it
    Dave wanted to do it
    So why not ?
i,m not about to enter into into a debate about this as my involvement in clubs in now marginal .
Just though i,d give a short reply
Promise is looking at a really good venue out of town currently plus some in newcastle .

I must say it's a dissapointment, this is not the big come back i'd hoped for! As a pretty big supporter of Promise, I would personally rather Promise never returned (as Promise) than have this happen.

But it's pointless slating Mark for it, every single one of you would do the same at the end of the day. If it makes plenty dosh to try to get Promise back as Promise, then so be it. Although, I also think another name would have been better.

It will be a total charver night like, just usual charver Ikon crowd, with more charvers.

Needless to say I won't be going!!

It's done a 'Ministry of Sound'

not at all, jules is a consistent let down, and fergie is beyond a joke... he made the whole fuckin arena stand still with his set at godskitchen, crap mixing, poor tune selection, and not keepin with the pace going

where as everytime ive seen dave he played decent trance (no dj sammy in sight) his mixing has been tight enough so dont see what everyones problem is
