I dont agree with djing off a laptop at all .

Fair enuff of cdjs and vinyl thats ok least your mixing the stuff yourself but i couldnt dj off a laptop feels like i would be cheatin a dont see how pvd & adam sheridan that i have seen dj off laptops can do it.

I would only produce music off a laptop not dj off them.

I've loved to wind people up in the past, but tbh it really doesn't matter, it's just down to personal preference really, aslong as they're doing something they enjoy and playing good music it doesn't matter, id rather hear a tight laptop set than a shambles dj one.

My opinion of this has mellowed a bit - I still like the use of Ableton to be done to the point where you cant work out that they are even using ableton at all .....

Sasha is still the only DJ who's ableton sets (pretty much) sound perfect - I cant stand obvious OVER use of EFX and Loops.

Yeah, I wanna have fun mixing different tracks together, i think it would work well with prog seeing as prog has alot of melody.

I had some great fun with The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds. I warped it to 133 bpm, cut it into smaller sections and blended it with a prog track in the same key. It worked a treat, if i had a decent knowledge about eq'ing and producing it could have easily been passed as a remix, but sounded good live. Worked a treat! :D
