Suono began in 2004. Solely down to 3 friends complaining about “Funki House” nights, sound tracked by lads, clapping like sea lion’s and with 4 haircuts on their heads. We felt there was a real lack of small, intimate parties for ourselves and like-minded dancers, prancers and ceiling shouters, in Newcastle.

Whilst others have become genetically enhanced with growth hormones, tanning injections and discovering ‘Deep House’, we at Suono like to think that we’ve held true to our game plan and ethos. Putting on parties for friends and fellow music lovers, we’ve met along the way.

We’re mightily proud to have brought the likes of Greg Wilson, A Certain Ratio, 2020 Soundsystem, Aficionado, Idjut Boys, Daniele Baldelli and Mark Seven, to Newcastle – many, making their debuts at our parties.

As a Thank You to our loyal and trusty followers and to bid a fond farewell after 10 (mostly) glorious years, we’ve come full circle and are delighted to welcome back to Suono, GREG WILSON.

Greg’s career since helping to launch Suono, has seen him go from strength to strength. Whether releasing and playing his customised edits for small intimate parties, or playing to thousands of people at festivals the world over, Greg is guaranteed to rock the party right!. His “Essential Mix” from January 2009 gives a true flavour of the legend’s musical pedigree and a DJ, at the very top of his game!.

We look forward to seeing you down the front, working the dance floor and hollering at the ceiling! .
But most important of all and as we’ve always endorsed from the safety of the decks, please ensure you ‘DANCE IT OFF’.
