Aye Mark Archer was very good, got the vibe just right. Having said that the quality of our local grow talent in the likes of @Earl Grey, @james909 (2 boys born in the wrong decade :)) never fails to impress me and makes it feel a more personal experience, if you get me.
@jamesclimax & @STATIC were also very good and worth putting up in room one for a bit, Red Faced Funkerman got the big thumbs up from the train spotters @Jono_H

All in all another blinder, never disappoints and the only event i can be arsed with. Bar prices was bang on, woke up with £40??? that never happens.

DETOX - MAKING PEOPLE SHIT THEMSELVES SINCE 2001

@jamesclimax using the last of everyone's sugar since 2011

it was rather amusing how middle bar hadn't told upstairs bar about the bar promotions that were in full swing lol

no wonder middle bar was busy

I think the old school brigade did the event proud in room 2

before opening I was talking to the bar manager and I said "theres some seasoned drinkers in here it takes them 7 pints to even get warmed up"and he gave me look as if I was jessing.

fast forward to the end of the night and we get this quote from one of the bar managers "well we took more on the bar than at grenade"

not bad going considering grenade probably had more through the door.

The water was steep at £2.50 a bottle imo esp when you could get a dble vodka mixer for the same price. I only had 1 bottle of water. Amazes me how much more booze people drink when on a "journey" these days.

I mentioned to one of the lads about two people shitting themselves @Detox & he said "Weird, i reckon i was one careless fart away from shitting myself like, wonder if they had the same DRINKS? Just made it home myself like" He left about 1:30 as he would not use them bogs.

Was good to see you Melt.

I saw MOS a few times in there. Saw my fellow Wallsender Spunter & I asked him the same question I always do "Are you the older or younger Spunter" .

I remember seeing Hummel about 10 times in 30 mins when I got in the club as he was circling around looking for a BARTENDER to serve him, I let him buy a drink off me as I had ample & never saw the fucker again until well after 2am fucks knows what rock he went & hid under.

I prefer the tunes the back in the day DJs play but I don't reckon they are better DJs than some of the younger/local lads I listened to in room 2, I may be in a minority of 1 thinking this!!!

some of the local lads are every bit as good as the big hitters

from what I heard of smokey joes set mind that sounded immense but thats in no way saying it was better than the others the music in the 2nd room was just immense all night.

I was particularly impressed with michael harding who played first. I was in the venue from 2pm and he turned up at 6pm to get a feel for the place so I got to hear a90 min set by him before the place opened...now theres dedication for you.

can someone run an event like we run so that I can can go apesh*t one day please

i only ever get to see about 1/3 of the event if that.

amusing to say the least lol

we were booking that lad back in 2008 for old school sets only

    Chew on these lazer raver

"without a vision of where YOU are going you will NEVER get THERE"

"immotation, the finest form of flattery"

regarding being barred ...it wouldnt surprise me ... as the DEN of iniquity tried to pull the rug to damage us indefinately.

However, I have more will power than william wallace in braveheart and people follow the event not the venue

and he who laughs last laughs loudest:D

Melt - you done yourself proud with this one.

REALLY enjoyed the night - To be honest i was a bit 'meh' with clubbing after not having too great a time at DS and Shindig, but this picked my spirits back up, big style!

That top room with Activa playing was proper class - best of the night for me, but coming a close second was the moment 'KLF - what time is love' was dropped downstairs. Well worth the epic 600 mile round trip.

    10/10.

Melt, you've lost me. Are you referring to the 'private birthday party' you asked to do at Hoults which was most likely going to be detox club event?!
