Does anyone know how I can make it any louder?

Will buying any different ear phones make a difference, maybe ones that have their own volume control?

Can hardly here it when at the gym

Would that not just play with the same volume control from the mp3 player itself though, rather than ampify the current sound?

    2 thoughts here....

    1) Most MP3 players have DANGEROUSLY high sound levels available so I doubt its that its not loud enough.

    2) I think I read somewhere the levels could be "parental locked" or similar to stop their kids turning their brains to liquid. Check if yours has this setting and if so unlock it.

The volume control on the headphones can't alter the sound output of the mp3 player itself. It could only ever distort the sound if it was going to make it any louder.

What Conway said is your best bet - I've done that on a sony mp3 player before.

Try not listening to your tunes in earphones for a while, or when you put them in make sure it's fairly quiet and then gradually turn it up.

If I put them on loud right from the off it doesn't take long until my ears adjust and they sound too quiet.

Hey guys - jus to let you kno this has been resolved.

I purchased some earphones that stick inside the ear rather than juts lay inside loose (if you know what I mean). Makes loads more difference as even tho same volume none is being lost and no external noise is feeding in.

Thanks for all your help peeps
