I was thinking along the lines that it had absolutely nothing to do with minimal...

It wouldnt be minimal if it had too much though!

Calling a minimal track an ''anthem'' just isnt cool enough. Thats more associated with trance and thats a huge no no.

Great track not minimal in the slighest overplayed but still a classic.

If you download it illegally then you go against everything the producer/label are about......

Robert hood minimal nation is great, again have some respect and pay for the music.

TBH you should not play a gig you don't have the music for or the interest to buy.

Funny you say that - I tried getting KOTJ on beatport the other day and they havent got it. I tried DJ Download too but had no luck, but at the same time they dont do wav files and mp3s are horrible out of my punchy little speakers so i tend not to get them. Surely if they're so bothered about something like this youd expect them to have their music on a site like Beatport ffs!?

Not really, most things UR have done are out on vinly first if not only that format.

There oldschool and stuck in there ways plus they can control who rips them off better by just using the vinyl format.

Some stuff is availble on download from www.submerge.com
if not just buy the vinyl then record to wav to play out.

Well thats their problem. Times move on so should they. Theyre shooting themselves in the foot.

I cant be arsed with all that shit. I can hit a few buttons and get a perfect wav. I would have paid but nevermind. Why are you so bothered anyways? Are you and DJ Rolando best mates? You talk like you are! :)

No need to get upset if you can't find a 7 year old track on the net you tried juno.

I just think its fair that artists should get paid for the music they produce.

I'm oldschool and think putting a bit of effort into getting the music your into goes along way.

It is as well!

Typing in DJ Rolando or Underground Resistance in the artist search bar brought nothing up and Knights of the jaguar in the title bit brought fuck all up as well. Honest!

Thats what i thought, but it goes down well at Circoloco. Was just wondering how it would go down in this sort of thing.

    grim

Bloke with vest and aviators hears that Luciano played Knights Of The Jaguar at DC10 on Monday

Bloke with vest and avaitors downloads Knights Of The Jaguar from Beatport

Bloke with vest and aviators does re-edit of Knights Of The Jaguar and then jumps about behind the decks like a plank while playing re-edit of Knights Of The Jaguar to 10 people in Clear Bar.

Bloke from Peterlee with tache and loads of tatoos barges into Clear Bar and kicks shit out of Bloke with vest and aviators

Aye knights of the Jaguar was shit untill some one played it at circaloco 7 years after it came out.

Best make a shit electrohouse version of it.

why not just go on a music site listern to some tracks that you like oldschool or not and play them, its a back room.

well minimal just seems a bit "too cool" for my type, the same with funky house tbh - but not for the same reasons.

and strangly after many excursions clubbing i have NEVER met ANYONE that freely 'admits' liking and following it -
and i meet alot of people (or so i believe)

Trance and harder, all the way.

i've never really enjoyed dancing to minimal anyway - it just seems too slow and i just end up dancing like a mental patient that's got hold of the valium stash.

i just dont have the cut of the minimal jib therefore i can't and wont ever be cool.
