It has never been "out of the underground" tho - so to speak.......its been "big" underground yeah...with the bit sprinkling of commercial success....but i wouldnt say it has evern been as big as (on a commercial scale - what were talkin about yeh?) as the likes of house and trance etc...

I confuse MY taste with reality???? Lol - come on joe - thats you my dear ;) :D :p

There is of course the odd exception - isnt there with every genre?

On the whole tho it hasnt REALLY been out of the udnerground - i stand by my statement :)

U give 1 example of an album there, Brown Paper Bag, just cos it MAY have sold more than any trance album doesnt mean that genre has been established out of "the underground" and into the mainstream.....it just means was a good album :)

Bri, I'm assuming you know drum and bass is jungle?

I'm assuming you weren't oblivious to the huge Jungle scene of the early 90's?

Me Mam knows Goldie because he has been on Eastenders & was in Bond, she is not so hot when I asked her to name her favorite track off Timeless.

City Centre boozers will make '£4 a pint 'a buzz pharse. Brand name drinks will be what the rich/stupid & me drink the rest of u will be supping Russian cat piss @ £2.75 bottle.

Clubs wise I will let you lads debate that one.

As more bars stay open late, the people who just went clubbing to drink late won't go as much any more, because they don't need to. Clubbing will become the domain of 'clubbers' once again. However, 'clubbers' seem to be a dying breed, so there won't be as many club nights as there just won't be the people going to support them. It is likely to be the small independent nights that suffer, as they just don't have the financial backing to weather a bad patch.

And Joe - there's nothing wrong with Hed Kandi. I don't think it's cool necessarily, but I like it. Reminds me of my early clubbing days.
