The leaflet drops telling civilians to get out of the places run by Hezbollah are ridiculous - where are they supposed to go and how are they supposed to get there? Would you want to leave your home and everything you've worked for?

i'd be pissed off yeah but i'd rather have to start from scratch all over again than be dead.

an i think 'pissed off' is a bit of an understatement there... ?

Helen how do you propose that Israel attack Hizbullah neighbourhoods then?

No nation would turn a blind eye to 150 missiles being fired at it every day.

    I propose they don't.

Call me a lefty if you like. ;)

It's pointless, I don't see how on earth Israel expects to win this one. I can only presume they want this to esculate into to full on ground war where they actually have a small hope in hell of winning.

All they are doing at the moment are swelling Hezbollah's ranks with every community they destroy.

I think there is a bigger agenda here, Israel is not stupid.

So you'd ignore the unprovoked capute of 2 troops and killing of 8?

You'd ignore 1000 missiles being fired upon your city?

You'd ignore the fact you'd been at peace with these people for 6 years and still they want to exterminate you?

You're a bigger man than me.

An eye for an eye makes the world blind. ;)

Do you think the destuction of these civilian areas is going to stop the rockets?

I'm all for action if there is an achievable objective, I just don't see one here.

Lets compare this to Nazi Germany - before the allies could find peace they had to eliminate the threat - we tried peace talks with Hitler and it merely provided him with the time to strengthen his forces.

Hizbullah is similar - we found peace with Lebanon, there was no cause for them to launch an offensive with us.... Pulling out of Lebanon the last time merely provided Hizbullah with a re-arming oppertunity.

We must first smash hizbullahs military capabilities - then we can enter peace talks.
