HABIT | SO LONG | STEVE BUG & ÂME LIVE | 27th DEC | HOULTS YARD

After 6 years Habit bids farewell...

We walk away with some great memories, priceless experiences and invaluable knowledge. Having invited some of the world’s finest DJs to Newcastle we are proud of what we have achieved; often surpassing what we thought was possible. From the start we have maintained our commitment to booking acts for artistic and personal reasons rather than that of commercial gain and hope we have made a positive and influential contribution to clubbing in Newcastle.

Juggling Habit between our working lives, family commitments and other responsibilities has become a huge burden and often the levels of stress coupled with the amount of time consumed by it has led to the natural conclusion that it is time to move on.

We have been in a very privileged position; its not often you get to bring in so many of your personal musical influences when booking acts. The likes of Carl Craig, Francois K, Henrik Schwarz, Joris Voorn, Prins Thomas, Ame, Dixon (and many more) are all names we strived to get and eventually succeeded. We have done everything we could have ever wanted in terms of events and where they have been held - The first event at the Sage Gateshead, countless club gigs, all dayers, secret locations, free outdoor parties and sold out warehouses. In short, there is not much more we could wish for.

We leave with one big final warehouse party on the exact date it started 6 years ago – 27th December. We are delighted to welcome two final headliners from Germany: Pokerflat boss and taste maker STEVE BUG alongside Habit favourites ÂME, performing only their second ever live UK show.

We look forward to seeing all of you that have been a part of what we started when we bring the lights up and close the doors for the very last time.

the bearded cunt who thinks he knows about sound and attempts to "manage" the place is as much a cock as the glass collector who also works in marksys and hands pill pushers over to the bouncers

    that is all

Really looking forward to this. Got friends from Leeds up as well, shame they'll only experience one Habit warehouse party.

    that sounds like him lol

he was having a right go at me and static for mark eg jumping round like a maniac in the booth (as mark eg does) saying that he was overdriving his new sound system until static pointed out that the system had a limiter in place which meant that this was impossible. and cue....the silence.... by the ginger bearded one.

I bet danny and scott have a plethora of tales about this geezer.
