    lol well perhaps a little OTT...

    but I now have Zone Alarm AND Sygate, AVG and Norton, AdAware and SpyBot

    Aswell as the latest windows updates :lol:

    Sck of my pc being whored.

    running more than 1 firewall wont make u more secure will just cause u problems man when they start falling out with each other :wink:

    and yes, Norton really is naff - it's getting removed.

    AVG owns it.

    I think I will just remove ZA and Norton though.

    Always used ZA like, never had any bother with it, does the job!

    ZA aint too clever mate - can be brought down like a sack of spuds...cant really hold out under any kind heavy(ish) attack

    Panda Antivirus - its got a form of Sygate firewall bundled too - not sure if its as good as the pro version tho......prob not!

    Well i'm definately not going back to Norton, AVG has picked up 3 Trojans, almost finished the scan.

    It's considerably slower than Norton mind!

    At least it actually finds stuff!!

    Proof that even a geek like me can be caught out :lol:

    I never professed to know it all i just commented on norton being good for me... so far. I will digest what you say though... thats why i read these posts ;)

    Panda's alreet, but the price is too much... Only go for titanium, and even then it's a little bitch that loves to suck it.

    I thought the same, until I actually ran a different program.

    Seriously - I have got rid of Norton now and I am now using AVG.

    Its FREE and does a better job than Norton AV :eek:

    By the way...

    Does AVG have the real time Virus alerts if a Virus is detected?

    Or is it only a find-on-scan type thing?

    Use housecall every coupla weeks too, is the mutts nuts for finding stuff :)

    Anyone got a link for a what i need, tbh i find it a nighmare knowing what to go for with these. It patters on about people who have bought it etc so i asume if you's are getting it for free then there's a secret way of getting it :lol:

    Is AVG a virus checker and firewall, just like Norton IS 2005 but better?
