The 57-year-old fan insists that his previous loves all left him because he is "obsessed" with the Reds and because that's the only passion he's interested in. Taxi driver Martin said: "There's no way I would ever put a woman or marriage before football. Liverpool is my life." His first marriage at just 19 to Rosemary didn't take long to turn sour. "The marriage ended because of football," he said. "I went to all the home and away games. She went two or three times. Then I said, if you don't want to go to the matches, I'm still going." In the bedroom, there were problems too. "We had a Liverpool quilt on the bed and she wanted a fancy, frilly one," said Martin, who first saw Liverpool play against Norwich when he was seven. Born in Norwich, Martin's dad was a City fan and he never anticipated his son would deflect. He said: "I bought a Liverpool scarf and bobble hat instead. I was hooked." Second wife Patricia also got fed up and looked elsewhere for friendship and security. "She liked to watch football on TV with me if I couldn't get a ticket - though if I could not get a ticket I was like a bear with a sore head," said Martin. "My life was football and work, I've always worked extra shifts to give my wife what she wanted. I did not spend much time at home so she decided to get herself a companion and that didn't go down too well." So what about Barbara? "It was just the same old me. Things went along the lines of the previous marriage and she found someone else," he explained. Next off the bench was another Rosemary who also brought a couple of kids into the relationship."I converted them from Arsenal to Liverpool. Her ex-husband didn't like that," he said. "I met my next wife, Carol, when I was lodging with her parents. I moved out but we met again later on and got married. "She knew what I was like. Every Friday I'd pack my stuff ready for football and on Saturday I was away." Martin then scored in the box and netted a baby boy with sixth wife Davina.... you know where this is going don't you? That's right he named him after 11 Liverpool players from the 1986 season! Son Ian (Rush) was handed 10 more names to pay recognition to the likes of Liverpool legends Alan Hansen and Kenny Dalglish. Martin said: "When he was born I got a dressing down at the hospital for putting a Liverpool quilt over his cot instead of the blue one! I had my video out when I was ordered by the sister to remove the quilt." And finally, Tina... "I met her through the News' meeting point adverts. We met in September and married in October. In January it ended. "The game was Arsenal at Anfield. She gave me an ultimatum. She said: 'If you go to that match I won't be here when you get home.' I said fair enough." He's a man after our own heart - legend
