I overheard one guy in the que in Subway that he would not get his "reserved" console till the end of feb..

Microsoft have dropped a massive bollock.. if they had pushed production and built a few more factories then they coulda made massive profits (in software sales)..

Shocking situation.. hope you get one soon mr fish..

Apparently some ppl are having issues with the PSU overheating..

If the systems are crashing try elevating the PSU off the ground.. such as placing it on top of an open topped cadboard box.. place it on the edges to allow good airflow around the PSU..

I heard amazon were one of the few places to order more than they coul get hold of, most high street shops seemed to fulfil orders. I'm gonna have to pay £400 for the full system with 2 games which ain't too bad really, cancelled my amazon one

Prob be best waiting til Feb there'll be about 20 security update patches for it then!! :D

Some dirty Iranian will have found a vulnerable backdoor which can be exploited by pointing a tv remote at the system and hacking in via the infra red!

Thats down to the shop, not the suppliers.

The supplier has no control over who allocates stock for pre-orders or floor sales.

mircosoft should have told each shop how many they were going to get, thats what playstation did with the ps2, and it all went along fine.

They have totally fucked it up and are to blame not the shops.

Microsoft did tell the shops how many they were going to get... We got told several weeks before they came out how many we were going to get in-store.

Any sensible chain (us included) would:

    1) Fulfil their pre-orders first

    2) Make the console available for unreserved sale.

Which, strangely enough, is exactly what happened at our place...

Bot just that but we told customers who placed pre-orders after a certain date that they weren't likely to get it before christmas.

You can't blame Microsoft for anything apart from not getting their thumbs out of their arses and manufacturing more units...

Any shop with decent customer service would have satisfied pre-orders first and then made it available on the floor.

Several weeks ago as in start of november :dunce:

And I know how long pre-orders have been possible for, we've been taking them since the start of July and we've been able to fulfil all of them up until the end of October ;)
