    I work with some sound lads into New monkey and Scouse. But they are a funny lot on that forum proper iggnorant vides going on, they have a problem understanding what diiferent styles of music are to them its Monkey or Scouse though some are getting into Commmercial Dubstep and electro.

    Never understood how people can say they 'listen to Monkey' like. Always seemed to me that people who described it like that had literally 0% of a clue what they were on about, or the scene they tried to intergrate themselves into. The Monkey was a nightclub ffs, not a musical genre. Its like someone asking me what music im into and me replying ''aaaaye, im proper into me Hoults Yard and that like. Pure waxarrr hew''

    When I worked in HMV we used to get unsuspecting parents in asking for "New Monkey" albums as a present for their sons/daughter's birthdays. Poor sods.
