Seeing as there is no emoticon of a plane flying over a little head I'll substitute it with this one. [IMG]

nowhere now unfortunately, used to work in the same place as conway but it closed down and when they got new owners they brought their own dj's. Just do whatever odd gigs i can get but unfortunately they have been extremely thin on the ground in the last few months [IMG]

that's well before i worked there. i would have been working elsewhere in consett then. david owns the place now instead of mark and he's a cock. was a good place to work, best place in consett i've worked but all good things come to an end. done the odd few bits and pieces in town but nothing concrete has ever came of it

suppose it depends really, i'm used to working in places where i work all night so pricing works out differently on that scale. i suppose when you're only doing an hour somewhere unless you;re headlining you can't exactly demand extortionate rates lol. suppose if it covers your costs and sticks a few quid in your pocket you're usually happy or can work on soemthing close to that. sometimes depending on who you work for you don't always get a choice to make demands for a certain rate, it can be a case of you're getting this or don't bother

i'm always interested in playing anywhere really, i'm generally a house dj but can vary the style of stuff depending on events and locations etc. usually the longer the sets the more interested i tend to be too, i'm one of those that once i'm started i don't wanna give up lol

    Ever changing
TEN years ago when i first started DJ'ing, i started on Gemini XL500 decks and a Gemini mixer. So no doubt i could go back to it and with a little practice dicking around with records and needles i could do it. Ditto with CDJ's which are a lot quicker to handle (especially if you have them cuepointed).

Do i want to do it? NOPE. It bores the tits off me spending most of my time getting tunes in time with each other. Which is probably why the likes of Carl Cox, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Pete Tong, Joris Voorn and nearly all the big name DJ's outside of trance don't do it either .... And if you dig a little deeper you'll see alot of trance DJ's are warping their tunes to the same bpm before they play out, so all their 'beatmatching' is just a pitch fader being moved to the same point as the one on the other deck. Bingo!

Anyways, you said it should be 'all about the music' didn't you? If that is the case then i'm quite surprised you are so interested in everyones set ups ;)
