    The dl rate won't really depend upon how many ppl are connected at any one time.. it doesn't for me anyways.. yes you get flunctuations in the down speed but generally I've been gettin a constant 470 down..

    That'll do nicely :D

    I dunno what ours is like, it doesnt matter cos every now and then it still conks out and states "The operation has timed out" and then the page i wanted to go to cant be found - Soulseek then crashes and i have to resart the PC to get back on the net ?!?! :(

    It's not that then its "The page cannot be found" with same probs...

    I wouldnt care during all this the Motorola Net box is always flashing as if there's nowt the matter and its on a re-start which gets me back to where i was - shit thing..

    That can't be found thing happens to me 2.. its well annoying!

    Just have to restart the browser..

    Nat - the upgrades are as follows:

    256k/512k -> 2MB (£15 pm??)
    1MB - > 4MB (£25 pm)
    2MB/4MB - > 10MB (£35 pm)

    Your connection will be faster.. you might just not notice unless you are downloading files.. tbh the browsing speed doesn't seem much different to me.
