ahhh well. It classes as one of those jokes made out of a real situation. AKA jokes with real endings. I found them funny.

A man and a woman are walking on the beach. Suddenly they stumble accross and old lamp half burried in the sand. The man picks up the lamp and examines it. As excitement builds he rubs the lamp. A few seconds later he feels foolish.

It's a joke from a section of 'jokes with realistic endings' that was on some website i looked at ages ago. Basically catches you offside a bit since everyone expects some sort of unreal ending or querky punch line. I found some of them funny in a 'new kind of joke' sort of way.
