There was a reduction in the area they covered from when I walked past on Monday morning & when I went past on Tuesday night when it was sloshing down. The reason was they were all under a bigsheet big plastic. They were more spreadout @ 08:40amish today, bricks were scattered everywhere.

In my opinion, the problem with a lot of people is that so many of you have lost faith, so many of you used to get it (at least at some point) and used to go clubbing, get buckled or just plain believe in humanity. As you've been forced to get a job, mortgage, kids & wife (thats maybe pushing it) a lot of you seem to have turned into bitter cunts. I suppose it could be seen as a extension of the social constraints slowly kicking back in after a psychedelic trip or even taking ecstasy, you know that whilst your on it that everything is real, possible and beautiful and the trick is to remember this once the drugs have subsided. Unfortunately too many people have stopped living life with beauty in it and have given in to how your 'supposed' to be living (I'm not saying it's your fault I'm just saying that's happened) and that now the frame of mind your in is 'actually how things are'. Can't you (obvsiously not) see that there's a huge shift on the horizon, it's always been there, actualising in front of you at an exponential rate that's becoming more and more obvious every day and the banks and financial situation are almost just like a materialistic manifestation of this to make everyone with their blinkers on give things a second glance. Everything is becoming increasingly intense and extreme, unnecessary famine, half the world uprising against their oppressors, extreme weather (even in our own country to a degree). I suppose what I'm saying is, have faith, I do and I'm happy as fuck cos I know what's round the corner is beautiful and as for now all we have to do is spread the love instead of being cunts to each other because as that banner says, we are the 99%.

that makes for nice reading Rankin but what is round the corner? the only huge shift on the horizon i can see is the increasing number of people posting youtube videos about all this stuff and im not sure how much that is going to achieve? it just seems like blind optimism from people that there's going to be some sort of change coming. youll probs have me in the bitter cunt category here like but i do find all this stuff quite interesting x

Yeah it seems you would fall into the bitter cunt category unfortunately baby,

I'd hardly say all that's happening is people posting videos on Youtube, the thing is, the internet's basically the only source of us actually finding out what is going on because of all the media blankets that are in place to stop further repercussions, not would I say all the countries occupying/revolting in their own countries. No one can tell what's going to happen but surely you can see that the capitalist world of today is becoming obsolete as our own economies on the edge of collapse, fossil fuels are being used up (of which I'm sure you know doing what you do there are so many alternatives that won't be allowed in the picture cos they aren't profitable enough). Things literally have to change a huge amount and can't stay the same - people from the bottom up are starting to get fucked over and instead of it being just the poorest it's moving up the ladder and as soon as the balance tips then that's when it all starts to kick off.

Obviously I've got my own ideas what's going to happen and as so has everyone else but one fundamental rule I believe in about the universe is love prevails over evil always. Probably hard to grasp if your a lemon though.

That kind of attitude is self-fulfilling though - you think that trying won't make a difference, so you don't try, so you see no difference... I take my hat off to the people doing this, and they're not all hippy tree-loving dolers either, many of the people protesting are those who've been left without jobs as a result of a global problem they played no part in making. The politicians aren't going to save us - it doesn't matter whether we vote red, blue, yellow or green - we get a bunch of venomous self-interested cunts who aren't really bothered about making the world better for it's occupants.

The question is, what will it take before we decide enough is enough and join/support them? At what point do we all get fed up of this shit?

You have the tar brush too. I don't want to join in because I don't feel the same as the jobless folk (aka hippies) you describe. I am financially sound and happy as a hypothetical pig in shit

It will be interesting to see if anything does change over the next few years . when the fossil fuels run out the oil companies will be all over the alternative forms of energy like..but I recon that's a long way off yet x

Not tarring you fella, just wondering at what point you would snap and decide enough is enough?

For those of us with jobs (including me), it's no big deal and we wonder what the fuss is about, for those without jobs who are unable to get new ones, this is a platform for them to voice their dissent with the "order of things" and try to force a change.

the hippy cunts of the sixties and seventies DID change things though. Womens rights, gay rights, access to abortion, ending the vietnam war, open source software, making racism unacceptable, (all these just off the top of my head) came from 60's protest movements which were derided when they started as just pissing in the wind.
A long period of credit fuelled prosperity has lulled the succeeding generations into an apathetic stupor and led to beliefs like yours that there is no other way and as long as you are all right then fuck everyone else.
The system that sustains your lifestyle and your job is crumbling around our ears. Unless you are one of the mega rich elite, eventually the tide will wash up to your door. We'll see how your tune changes when it's you on the recieving end.

My point is that I think the direction of their protests are misplaced. I do feel sorry for the genuine peeps that have lost their jobs not that most of the people jumping on the protest bandwagon are part of that population.

There may be "another way" as you put it but I don't want one, as stated above I have everything I need and did not jump on the credit roller-coaster like everyone else so will be fine for a long time to come. But, if as you say that is not the case then I hope I will be working hard to get another job as quickly as possible rather than sitting in a tent in a city centre farting round a camp fire with a bowl of beans

There will be no jobs, that's the point, there will be no economy so there can't be any jobs for you to go out and try and get. It's going to happen your just making it harder for yourself to accept by being under the illusion 'you'll be alright' - you actually will be alright - but your alright and the real alright are two entirely different things, in my humble opinion.

Forks your words speak volumes as usual.

That interview with the trader that Proudy posted is amazing, even though it's something that people have been saying for years in various forms, what made it differ is that none of them have ever had the platform to credibly reach the 'full bank accounts and empty lives' crew before and this guy was live on BBC news with his cock out pissing all over their cereal cuboard.

So many people have seen it as such a worrying thing (mostly people who live in fear and hide behind their bank accounts cos that's all they've got) I saw it as such a huge statement and progress moving forward into what I believe is going to be a better world to live in. Obviously the shits guna keep hitting the fan before hand but it's just collateral damage.
