    *hangs head in shame*

I cna't bring myself to vote new-labour, I don't agree with one of their policies... I'm too left-wing to vote torie and too jewish to vote bnp.

British democracy is in a sorry state of affairs... there is nothing democratic about voting for a party you dislike, dislike even more or hate...

No that wasn't worded correctly Joe, my point was that you say it isn't a case of terrorism winning, yet you give the same argument I imagine Al-Queda are....if Spain didn't support the war in Iraq this would never have happened.

Maybe next time we'll all learn to let the dictators of the world get on with their business...

    WE DO!!!!

This had fuck all to do with an oppressive dictatorship or wmd... The vast majority of the public now accept this was a war over oil... Its not a coincidence that america have troop positioned in almost every country they can extract oil from.

Mainland Europe was informed on a much greater level than England and America about the real reasons to going to war, which is why there was huge opposition to going to war...

However for whatever political reasons the Spanish givernment went against their people and backed america in its illegal war. I was merely pointing out this is the reason they were targeted and if they had infact listened to their people instead of following their own political agenda they wouldn't be in this position now.

If we illegally invade a country we should expect reprecussions! I'm not condoning them..> I'm merely pointing out the obvious.

i can see there bein some truth in that, could just be anti-war propaganda, but whateva reasons they had goin into iraq, i personally think that gettin rid of saddam was worth it. that bloke was a nasty piece of work and they shoulda got him last time. i know some will say that we helped him and supplied him with weapons etc but it doesn't change the fact that the world is a better and safer place without that man in power. some may say the same about bush like lol, and i'd probably agree :D

How is the world a safer place?

He was no threat to anyone but his own people...

Iraq is now far more unstable, far more people are getting killed, over half the country are still with out clean water and other basics....

    How is the world safer?

Was saddam an evil man? yes
Was going to war with Iraq the best way of removing/controling him? No

It isn't the United States place to play protector of the people... Its the job of the UN - the US overruled the UN.

There are far worse dictatorships than Iraq yet we haven't gone to war with those... Your living in a dreamworld if you think we went to war to remove an evil doer... This was a war about oil - simple.

I can't believe someone as intelligent as yourself buys the bush spin...
