T.Fish V DVLA (2011)

I am taking the DVLA to court, without going into details I might be going to fucking screw them right over and make them look like complete idiots and maybe get some compo in the mix.

The thing is........ The press are getting wind and if I win they want to put it all over the papers inc my name and photo as this sort of "hero of the people"

they had clamped a couple of vans i own, they where sorn and on private land but they said it was public highway. i should be able to claim for loss of earnings, van hire, costs of any tools i bought in last months and anything else i can think of.

going to speak to the press as well id like the story covered but not in my name !

what can i sue them for? any more ideas? i rekon van hire easy even tho the vans where off the road nothing to day i wasnt going to get them both on the road the day after they clamped them (can get garages to prove apointments if so desired)

only problem with loss of earnings is i work for myself so dont have (ahem) wage slips...

Find someone who does a similar job and quote their expected salary/expenses
All expenses for days missed unable to work, time, phone calls, equipment/van hire, damage to vans that may have happened while they were 'inprisoned', etc.
motorists get screwed enough these days what with insruance hikes, petrol pricing, comedy road tax rules and cyclists - fucking butcher them.

yeah thats a point, both vans have been left sitting thru the worst winter for in decades.

i expect all the brake pipes will have rotten and the batterys dead. the electrics have also gone

hand brakes seize easily which can damage brake callipers front and back.
hope no-one broke into it and stole your built in tomtom DVd/LCD head unit also. better make sure it's still there.

i am going to see if i can report them for theft as well, apprently when a car is clamped it becomes DVLA property theirfore its taken out of my ownership (ilegally). Iv got a top solicitor onto the case and am wating to hear back, i dont give a fuck what it costs cos i cant lose and will get costs. it will be in the DVLA's interests to settle out of court kerrrchinnngggg mother fuckers
