Physio's Anyone know any good ones, ive totally goosed my ankle a while back and its giving me jip. to be honest i think it needs an x-ray
mt blokes sister is one of the top physio's for gateshead nhs......what u done and i will ask for advice?
i went over on my ankle about a year ago, and its never been right since, it clicks and stuff and i cannot hop on it or do owt with it sometimes, itle fix itself but then if i twist it or go over on it again it sets it back off. the ankle bones a dif shape and the tendant nacks. i should have went to the hospital really, same with the dislocated finger i have that i never got fixed either.
u need to do gradual excersize with just that ankle to build the resistance back up in that ankle I used to play hockey and totally fucked 1 of my ankles on several occassions and i was going torugh the same as you for about 3years, but u need to build the ankle back to strength hence why it is weeker than tother one but do it gradually, dont force it.......go running so ur using both ankles the same, then start doing excersize just ur bad ankle by itself when it starts to feel a bit better and gradually it will come back to former strength i still have a broken ankle cos i didnt get it seen too, but it's back to full strength, just if i get damaged there again it will hurt like hell
i used to go t'gym everyday and do allsorts and it seemed to be fixing itself. but then i became a tax payer and alas cannot get to the gym in time. nissan has one tho so i'll use that. cheers
u work at nissan????? GO ON SON but u need to do it very gradually, like u feel as though u r doing nothing for a few weeks just to build the WEEK strength back in it adn then work up from there
a great bit of resistance for bad ankles is to get some rope or material and place it under your foot so u have it in your hands. Then raise the leg when sat down so its horizontal and pull back on the material so that it makes your foot point towards your body......then use your ankle to resist the material pulling toward your body. Do it and hold it for about 15-20 seconds then relaxt it ofr 20 secons then do it again and keep doing it
I done sports science at college.....one of our modules for a year was sports injuries.....i also did anatomy and physiology and biomechanics. I cant remember much but there are times it comes back to me
Since I did my back in at Uni my back's not the same, if I'm sittig cross elgged at work I can feel it twinging as if it's gunna go again, and apparently my mattress is really shit which will be making it worse so need a new one
I would highly recommend going to a physio like, i have smashed me ankle 3 times playing football and at the moment still have floating bone in me right ankle The first two times i rushed back and basically it just went again straight away sometimes a sprain hurts more than a break - after the third time i was prompted for physiothrapy which i went too after n during work and as intense as it was it helped me 100 % I have been advised off the doc a few times to not play football again cos of the amount of ligament damage and i think if i hadnt of went to physio id of known about it
