is anyone else's life being ruined by a dissertation?

mine is.. what a pile of bollocks..

I'm working on a uni project now... still haven't got round to my dissertation... i'm guessing I have under a month to write it up now and I haven't even properly started... the last thing I want to do is stay for a 4th year...

My dissertation is:

‘A study into the differences of opinion in Saltburn regarding the current ‘War on Terror’ debate based on factors of socio-economic class and geographical imagination’

im giving myself 3 weeks to do it... improve it and hand it in at the end of easter...

I failed the fourth year of my degree last year by leaving my Diss. til the last minute. Started a 10-15thousand word essay 5days before it was due in. Managed to hand in 9000words of drivel.

Still got 30%, which i thought was none too shabby for four days work, but obviously i failed. Let this be a lesson to you kids.

I'm doing mine a week, thats gonna be from scratch, making the research up and polishing it thats the plan anyways.

we have the choice to hand it in before and get their opinion and have it back or just plough thru and risk a fuck up...

Think i'm gonna be one of the ploughers...

yes my life is being ruined by a dissertation & it's not even me who is doing it!! :evil:

I did mine at the last minute on a subject on which I had no prior knowledge at all - 12,000 words in five days. Managed to get a 2.2, so not bad but not outstanding.

In other words, don't panic! It's best to get it done as early as possible, but there is hope if you don't.

my life is currently being ruined by elecrolux and my (unstarted) final project..

Have done 2 in the past 2 years, 23,000 words in total. Wrote both in a month and for the second one was still getting results on the Wednesday and it had to be in on the Friday

Did the majority of mine in less than a week. (10,000 worder)

Got 59%

Still managed to squeeze in Promise's Second Birthday, a recovery day and several shifts at Safeway. Last night was an all-nighter. Had to be in at midday and i was sorted for 1030am. Was well happy with that.

After that, lunch and a couple of pints, followed by another shift at Safeway. Then slept for about 16 hours!
