fucking gutted today... car went in to peugeot garage with dodgy rear wheel.

Get a phone call saying bearings and rear axel need replacing and its gunna cost £1300!!!

Manager said he would take 15% off nice chap, so its £1100. Winner! NOT!!!

Is it worth it? Can it be done cheaper?

I thought that but I doubt Peugeot are going to be cowboys like!

Parts might be cheap but that will be a pretty big job like so you might not save that much.

Also bear in mind that if it's second hand, it aint gona last as long. Also best to make sure to find out why it's second hand :)

Peugeut wont be cowboys but they dont have the same options as other garages. All their parts will be new.

The site i've found are genuine axels, new bearings. Tis about a 2 hour job to fit.

As its only one wheel on the right that was dodgy im suspicious as to whether the whole axel needs replacing ot just the arm on one side.

Still aint paying that much regardless!! tis only a fooking car man! lol
