I know its not the same, but check the plastic crates out in poundland. They work fine if you're not moving the records around and fold flat when not in use.
plastic stackable storage crates, like 4 for £5 from Poundstretcher on the silver link.... light and durable - and available in many pretty colours!
i just bought some 4 tier shelves and a few wooden boxes that stack up from B&Q....i can't have spent more than £50 and they hold them all nicely, althouh i am running out of room!
