    dodgy sign in box...

While browsing (all of 5 minutes ago) i got a pop up box, of the sort you get when signing into ftp sites etc, asking me to provide a user name and password for some mp3 site... but i wasnt on any mp3 site, i was browsing here... :spangled:

i keep everything up to date, ive just downloaded the newest definitions for adaware now to check that, but if anyone has any idea what the fuck it was i would appriciate it...

    :(

Try Spybot rather than Ad Aware... i was up to date with adaware and it was missing things. Ran Spybot and it found much more.

I got that spybot program, when i ran it it absolutley shafted all my desktop settings n stuff, and sat using 100% power of the CPU.....needless to say i removed it lol.

As for the pop up, its probs just a pop up advert disguised as a login to make u click it?

Was it in the photoshopped thread? I got that box come up... blakeys pics wouldnt show and when i clicked on "show picture" the box came up again. Think it may only be that thread. :)

hmm... it looked like a genuine box, i have that 'windowblinds' on my system which makes my windows / toolbars / checkboxes etc completely different, and those 'fake' system pop-up's naturally never look right... it hasnt done it again yet, but it's got me puzzled... :(

his pictures must be hosted somewhere where you need password access to view them, when he linked them in the thread, we try to view, it then asks for password.

It was that random Asian kid photoshopped onto loads of different faces. From that 'Why You Shouldn't Put Ur Picture On The nternet' thread.
