Aye was going to say, seeing as Dubai is packed with foreigners (more foreigners live in Dubai than locals, crazy right?) you are much better off sticking with them British/Irish/American/Phillipino/Foreign - clubs/pubs/part of town.

Everything else is a tourist trap. Used to live in Dubai for a year before having to move back to my home country, father's salary couldn't cut it for us living in Dubai at the time.

Uptown Mirdiff when it first popped up, back when everything was under construction and all it had was a Spinney's supermarket.
