The injury to vidic is massive.. I see the club POSSIBLEY falling into a dark era unless Fergie makes emergency signings next month.

A new CB and AMC is paramount.

Wil Fergie leave if the going gets tough?

    Defence & GK
De Gea has improved as the season has went on. Vidic has been shite for a while bet they wished they cashed in a season ago. Rio (when he plays) & Evra are starting to show decline. SAF should go with Smalling & Jones in the middle & them Brazilin full backs if they are fit. The likes of De Laet & Evans have not shown the improvement as expected.

    Midfield
There is no zip in the middle when Cleverly does not play. Out wide you would expect Nani & Young to come good again.

    Forwards
Rooney is a class act. Little Pea seems fragile. Berba looks slower each game I see him. Owen is League cup player. Welbeck is good needs a run of games now. Macheda looks more like a cunt off JerseyShore than a footballer. Diouf underlines Fergie poor record of signing Africans. Bebe this fucker will never be homeless again. I doubt he will play for Man Utd again destined to be the next Manucho.

I can't see SAF leaving & I would never write Man Utd off under him until at least 3 or 4 bad seasons by their level.

You can't write off Fergie - they finished 3rd if I can recollect around 2006 and people were saying they were finished.

Youth is definitely the way to go for many many reasons. They have time to mature, and if they don't can still be sold for a few mill further down the line. When players like Evra & Ferdinand are not on top of their game there is always the hope that the younger comparisons can improve.

Fergie admitted that the midfield is not one of his strongest (by a long way - even younger Giggs would never have made the midfield when the likes of Scholes, Keane were around and he was their strongest player against Basle), but did not want to panic buy when there is nothing reasonable in the market. Not every season has to be a one where they are fully resourced, as long as there is buidling and potential so they are in a comfortable position for the following season.

Next season is the one to watch, where without a doubt the Midfield will be strengthened, and the full back positions if the Da Silvas don't come good. They are the only areas of concern. Players such as Wellbeck, Cleverley, Jones, De Gea are going to be future stars.

    Roll on next season...

A creative wizard in MF is a must.

Someone like Modric, VDV or Snejder

Not fusssed if City spend big again - at this stage where nearly every player is world class its more a case of playing as a unit, typically seen by the amount of upsets this year, not only in the Premiership. Would just cause more disruption for them anyway, and they can't keep buying every player UTD is in for now. Think next year will be back stronger, but particularly looking forward to next few years when younger players will be at their peak, including Rooney.
