I think the boost in popularity of MMA has hurt boxing a lot, you see it a lot in this country alone, kids are going into training mma or cage fighting (i hate that they use that term) now rather than boxing, a few years ago this wouldn't have been the case.

The above is correct but there has been no decent yank 'H' champs for a while so there is no one to inspire them & as long the titles remain in europe & the fights are in europe this will continue.

MMA and Care raging its fucking savage and pretty much unskilled i dont care what people say about the training. At least Boxing has the excuse of making bad lads good. Now MMA just makes bad lads badder.

Well if he watched it when a big goon like Brock Lesnar lay on top of someone for 15 minutes then it would certainly look that way but would be a different story if he watched a fighter like GSP in full flow! So he has a point...

Pop a 40 and check your rollies - its Blyth Tyme!
Brock Lesnar won the NCAA heavyweight tournament in 2000 and came runner up the year before for amatuer wrestling, he's hardly unskilled.

I would say they are more skilled. A boxer is skilled in boxing, many MMA fighters are skilled in a number of different fighting styles
