From what I can see from the video, the ground forces called in air support and they engaged people with weapons, then got permission to attack the people doing the clear up.

It makes it worse that its the chat between the two people in the apache which sounds like typical gun ho yanks.

What's not to be sure about? A helicopter flying in circles around a group of people doing very little really, mistaking a camera for a gun and spotting one other person with long object that is possibly a gun (though unconfirmed and potentially something as equally harmless as a camera) telling their superiors that around 8 to 10 people had AK47's and RPG's, then shooting fuck out everyone there. And the injured people again as they try to get away in a van with two children in it. Trigger happy lunatics looking for any excuse.

Wow someones using an alt account, nice one :)

At no point did they tell their sups that they all had AK's, ground troops recovered an RPG round (so not too hard to see their would of been a launcher around) you see a lot of people scarper to the buildings while the choppers lose sight.

The initial engagement was debatable, i reckon i could see Ak47's on the guys walking behind the reporter. I don't think that was an RPG in the guys hands (the one hiding on the corner peering out) it looked like a camera to me?

Shooting the van that came to collect bodies shouldn't have happened! Not one of the guys that got out of that van had a weapon & even if the guy they were picking up did, what the hell was he going to do with it? He was full of holes and couldn't even stand up!

We all know the yanks are 'gung-ho' but those sort of decisions are made in the fog of war, you don't always make the right decisions and when mistakes are made, then people pay with their lives! It's not nice, but it's a fact in what is happening out there.

The Apache was there to clear the way for the ground troops that came after the shooting.

I got this from Duncan Falconers website (he is ex SBS) from January last year:

"A couple of weeks ago near Mosul in northern Iraq where insurgents are still very active, a US military Blackhawk helicopter was successfully shot down as it was crossing the desert. The press was not informed and the incident was given an official news blackout. There were fatalities but several of the crew miraculously survived the crash. However, as they were desperately crawling from the burning wreckage the insurgents who had shot the craft down turned up to inspect their work (those who have read my book Undersea Prison might recognise the scene but obviously I got my version from a previous similar incident) and brutally murdered all of the wounded men, shooting them as if it was a target practice and enjoying themselves in the process. We know this for certain because they were seen. A US Special Forces detachment happened to be in the area and was making its way with haste towards the downed aircraft. They happened to have with them a new, deadly and, still quite secret, weapon. Horrified by what they saw and, no doubt fuelled by anger, they let slip their new weapon, quite literally, with its command to destroy. The weapon was a pack of vicious, powerful dogs trained for just one purpose. The animals covered the ground in seconds and tore into the insurgents with intense ferocity. The troops hurried to the scene and called off the dogs but not before several of the insurgents were killed. Those who survived were in a bad way. This new weapon may not be well publicised in the western media but the northern Iraqi insurgents are quite aware of it.Their comrades who died that day were not the first to meet such a savage end. "

Dogs have been used in attack procedures for some time, WW2 etc.

Also for the above, I would prefer the armoured apaches to do the scouting, rather than the boys on the ground

I know yeah, but not this particular breed. I wonder what they have crossed to get it?

My guess is some sort of Wolf hybrid, maybe crossed with Rottweiler/German Shepherd or Akita...

    I think i'd rather take a bullet :(

why are there american troops there in the first place? This sort of shit will always happen when you have an occupying force with no understanding armed to the teeth and looking for revenge/ action/ relief from boredom/ target practice or whatever else.

Watched the Video once, whats wrong with that? its a valid kill. They are swanning about with weapons and shoulder slung (doh!) cameras that look like RPG's

The dude peeping around the corner looks like hes prep'in a rocket to fire (possible at the AH's)

Of corse the pilots and going to fire.

This kind of pro hadji crap just hinders the troops in doing a already impossible job
