    Killgallon Staying Put

Matt Killgallon's decided he's going to stay with Sheffield United until the end of the season, ruining Newcastle's hopes of signing him this January.

Can't say I'm suprised. How many of our primary transfer targets have we actually signed in recent years?

We've as much pulling power as a leper sprayed with cat piss.

I'm not surprised either, Newcastle have a habit of destroying players careers lol.

Destroying careers? It is a myth man. Outside the top 4 how many other clubs have had young players of the years in PL history, we have had 3. Bellamy was going nowhere at Coventry until we rescued him. Rob Lee became one of the best CM in the country. I could easily go on.

As for Killgallon, I am glad. Ever since we have been linked with him I have kept a eye on Sheff Utd on the box or highlights & he is not that good (I reckon average). Sheff Utd goals against is one of the highest for top club in CCC. I get the feeling MK realised he was only being signed as backup & nothing more, so will stick out to the summer. He would of been okay backup nothing more.

I am 100% certain in your life time: more players at NUFC have won Young Player Of The Year, NUFC has better record then SAFC at helping players get there 1st England cap, has had more U21 England internationals, has had more players at World Cups.

File Viana next to Veron as a flop not as someones whos career got destroyed.

I'm not really that arsed that he is staying put to be honest, what i have noticed tho as much as people have used Habib Beye as "happy days" is that he is actually 3rd choice at Villa at the minute and id probably try n get him back if i was to be honest?

Danny Simpson needs to be signed as well perm.

Killgallon confirmed last night, cant say ive seen much of him though we do need cover at the back which he will give us.

Another rumour that is gathering a lot of pace is Habib Beye to Sunderland, with french radio already claiming he has signed.......

fair play, sunderland sign a player that knocked newcastle back, bragging rights to the scum etc etc etc. but really though... mid-table premiership standard? (which is where i feel Sunderland should be aiming) i dont think so. hes the type of signing a top championshaip club or struggling premiership club would make - its a step back for the scum i wreckon

I reckon Kilgallons shot himself in the foot, he seems to think hes prem standard when hes clearly not.

As for Beye, he must want to move back to Tyneside.

Cant say i have seen him play personally, though all i can say is last week we had to play a midfielder at centre half due to not having enough cover for injuries etc.

If nothing else he will be cover for that situation occuring again at not a bad price, and is probably at an age when we could sell him on for not too much of a loss if/when we do bring in better

he's not a bad player at all. he gets his centre half partner Chris Morgan out of all sorts of fuck ups. his positional play is sound and he is pretty quick.

playing with Morgan (the most "old School" center back left in Britain) could make anyone look like an "elegant" centre half lol, but he seems to look alright on the ball. that said there is a difference between marking Andy Carroll and Nile Ranger and have the Drog set on you. suppose time will tell.

after what happened at the Bridge when Anton and Turner were out i would deffo welcome a bit of cover if i was scum
