This sounds really bizarre but I found a solution to this ages ago (are you on Dell by any chance?).

With both hands, either side of the mouse pad area, lift up your laptop with your palms down (so both thumbs are underneath the lappy).

Then try and flex the laptop from underneath as if you were trying to flex a bit of rubber - both thumbs underneath the mouse pad pushing UP (while your fingers are resisting pushing DOWN). Sort of seems like you're trying to snap the laptop, but it won't break.

The pads are so sensitive and it sometimes gets stuck as if the whole thing is being pressed. This un-sticks it.

I hope that makes sense. :)

Mine used to do something similar but only when it was plugged into the mains.

Turned out the connection was dodgy and it kept switching from that and the battery and its was taking the computer a fraction of a second to catch up.

Just sounds like the keyboard, I had a similar issue recently. If you have a spare USB one lying around that, otherwise just buy a new one and fit it yourself, shouldn't be too expensive.

Try PM'ing Rossy, he sells them.

Mine does this all the time im sick of it im ready to put my fist thru this bastard screen.

Tried bending the laptop  tried it plugged in at mains, without the bat, with the bat. Think it's the keyboard, total nightmare when writing or trying to type in a password to log into anything.
