I'd be interested to know if anyone has one of the HTC ones... been looking at them also.. Touch Pro 2 released in May though I think....

They always look the biz but each one seems to have some basic feature/function missing...

i've tried to tell myself that the iphone isn't worth it since it came out, but every time i've used one i've struggled to find fault with it, and everybody i know with them reckons they're brilliant. the only kicker is the shite camera and the fact that they're on o2.

that new t-mobile g1 looks canny, although quite how often you'd use the barcode scanner to compare prices online i don't know.

one thing i can definitely advise against is the lg viewty...

i really want an iphone, but i really dont want to be on o2, so i'll probably go for the g1, or buy an unlocked iphone and get a contract sim.

By upgrades you must been the mint thing that is getting a new flashy phone. By talk plans you must mean saving money compared with payg and the phone calls and text bit is how you end up going out on the piss and finding out about parties :tits:

Just got on O2 XDA Serra last week with Windows Mobile on it.

Its a bit awkward if your not used to Windows Mobile but pretty good once you get used to it.

I'm on a sim only deal with O2 at the mo with 600 mins, 1200 texts and unlimited internet for £19 a month. Just hunting for an iphone to pop the simcard into now.

Is one flaw that you can only send picture messages to other i-phones?! (fine if all your mates have them otherwise a bit awkward...)

G1 is pretty good 2bh and at least you get unlimited browsing as part of the contract. Have seen the Bar Code scanner in action too which is class not sure how often likely to use it... (unless you go to tescos to do ya weekly shop and scan everything see if you can get cheaper elsewhere  )

Some of the gizmo's you can get on it are just mental.... compass, spin the bottle, light saber the list goes on..

You can scan in a bar code, it reads the EAN (barcode number), this is passed to sites like Pricerunner etc and the price for the item will be displayed so you can make sure you arent mugging yourself by buying it from a shop.
