Russel Brand/Jonathan Ross Scandal!

    The BBC pay Ross that ridiculous salary as he pulls viewers which in turn they profit from, if he pulled the same views at a competitor station to which they could also profit from why wouldn't they agree to a similar salary?

    If anything the BBC have no cards in their hands with him, he's one of their biggest stars who has a massive young fanbase & they know it. They bow down to 30,000 oap bandwagon complaints, they risk loosing double in youth viewers & all the stars he can attract to his show.

    I'll just set one thing straight. I like Jonathon Ross. I watch his show religiously. I tune in to Film 2008 when I can and occasionally listened to his radio show. However, going by fact, no other broadcaster could afford to meet his wages like the beeb do. Of course he'd pull in the viewing figures. And he is popular. But the British Broadcasting Corporation pull in far more than any other tv station going. He is better off with them than anywhere else.

    I Agree, it's the biggest broadcasting corporation in the world, however it doesn't mean to say a competitor cant afford to match his wages for what he could potentially bring to the table.

    If he wasn't worth beyond 6m a year they simply wouldn't pay him it, irrespective that there the larger out of all 5 channels. If Ross gets dropped/walks (which I doubt will happen) you'll sharp see how many of the other competitors that can afford to take him on.

    well i breifly watched that ponderland on C4 and he's just a babbling idiot. my brain actually refused to find him funny.

    so i dont really care what happens to either of them. they know the rules of radio and should of stuck to them IMO.

    however i think its daft how they've been made to look.

    Russell Brand is about as funny as Ross Noble, which is zero on funny scale for me & Woss has never been funny. Woss is great being the voice of award shows but he hopeless at interviewing as he spends more time talking about himself.

    brand's ponderland last night was dismal. when he's just being himself or presenting something or on t'radio - he's really funny.

    Ross Noble - i've never found him THAT funny.... but thats just my taste
