If you manage to get a fee paying NHS dentist my workings out it will be £16:20 (As they will do emergency work) + £198 for the rest of the work.

If you go private I reckon you will be looking at bill I would guess between £800 to £1000.

I was in the shit when I knocked my false front tooth out which cost me about £250 about 7 to 8 years ago privately & I was thinking with price hikes it would be about £400 but then I read about the NHS & its has a set price list. Since then I have converted quite a lot people to this method of dentistry.

Here is list of dentist in South Shields (I think that is where you live)

    http://www.nhs.uk/ServiceDirectorie...673,4367&ServiceType=Dentist&SearchType=Local

click on the dentist & what you are looking for

Currently accepting new fee-paying NHS patients

As I am not sure of your circumstances you may be able to get free dental care, if this is the case you need to look for dentist that are

Accepting new charge-exempt adults for NHS treatment

right, i've got a plan for this for tommora:

go down and make a new claim at the dole, throw my sicknote at them and hoy myself on some kind of benefit (i'm hating myself for it though), once that's sorted i'll get my teeth done - no questions asked, for free. at least that's what i hope.

and if the benefits go in the bank as well i'll be as happy as larry. although i'm sure thats fraud. bearing in mind i'll sign off when its all done (hopefully before friday?)

    aha! breakthrough.

i asked work to drop me this week, chuck me on the sick - so i could claim incapacity.

although i'll be on that i cant acutally get any money for short amount of time i'll be on the sick - however the dentist (who turns out to be my cousins boyfriend) said i was doing the right thing and is going to save me at least 500+ quid. however they wont do any unessecary aesthetic work, just the stuff i need doing - which also happens to be aesthetic work at the same time. SCORE.

but it does mean i've been branded with the "horrible man on benefits" catergory for a week :(
