Most familes buy a frozen turkey rather than a fresh turkey. When the frozen turkey defrosts all the moistness (is that word) goes. While a fresh turkey retains it moistness (really is it a fooking word) even after cooking. There are other techniques to help create a moist turkey to do with stuffing & the use of butter but I dont want to ramble on about the do's & dont's of how to make a turkey taste moist.
