    Real Trance DJ's :

    Paul Van Dyk
    Armin Van Buuren
    DJ Tiesto
    Paul Oakenfold
    Matt Hardwick
    Scott Bond

    Progressive Trance / Progressive DJ's :

    Sasha
    Paul Oakenfold
    John "00" Flemming
    John Digweed

The top list is what ya call proper trance like IMO - the ones ive named 2nd can however play very very trancey if they wanna - however i wouldnt class them in the same way as the first list at all ! Theres a difference toatly in there styles and ya more likey to "jump around as a loon" as someone mentioned to the top list !

I'm gona jump in and voice my opinion here.

I love Fleming's style of Trance, and Matt Hardwick played a blinder on Friday too.
Full on Tiesto-style euphoric uplifting big-breakdown stuff bores the hell out of me though. Progressive music is the best for taking you on mind journeys, even if Fleming is prog trance.
Still, it'd be a sad world if we all liked the same things.

Aye and like ive said the 2nd list can play v.v.trancey if they wanna - i mean Sasha n Digweed b2b has been known before to be banging and Trancey as fuck - Oakenfold of yrs ago was unreal and still is a very talented DJ - John "00" Flemming is same and he played Trancey on friday but its different sort innit !

Id say any of the 2nd list could warm up for any of the 1st list that i put but then again nowadays probs wouldnt happen with DJ's fee's n that and them wanting to headline !

I'm with the Don, Hardwick, Flemming blatantly play pop friendly trance true trance at its purest is Goa/Psy(chadelic)-trance.. Artist like:

    Astral Projection
    Koxbox
    MFG
    Cosmosis
    Saiko Pod
    Logic Bomb

Israel is the true trance mecca... Not gatecrasher - 150,000 strong raves with pure psy-trance :D :D :D

yahel is good but he aint a patch on a lot of the trance acts.... Israel more or less agve birth to trance and have since been at the forefront of trance... yet for some reason no one hears a thing about it...

Its weird we've all heard of Dance Valley, Crasher, etc. but Israel goes un-noticed... israel and goa used to be huge for trance - goa has faded but israel is still going strong.

altho under the current circumstances I think they'll be reaching for the AK's not the lazers.

My personal prefrence is for the real trance dj list. the music they play does a lot more for me than progresive as i only go out once a week i dont want 2 b hearing prog at 1am in promise on fridays. i look foward all week to hearing trance then and i think the majority of people do.

This was my first night at promise, it was dead good! Had no idea it was disputed.

Forgot about this as well, forgotten classic!

Also, this night was 12 years ago, which makes me the equivalent now of me meeting someone back then then who first started going out in 1990.
