Very true. Take last night for example, they were quite a few people on, but only 1 post in the last hour in Mission Control
where has all the random gone i hear you cry? dont worry im only here. does anyone agree that we have been posting less because theres nothing really interesting to post back to? posts such as "whats your favorite type of nail file" don't really interest me too much, and i dont really feel the need to tell people about my nail file preferences. i also feel pressure not to appear "too random", which is partly the reason i feel i have lost touch with some of the boards most interesting people, as they dont post, so i dont post back. ja?
Yip, hit the nail on the head. i find there can be pressure on here not to go too far - and yea, admittedly at times randomness can be irritating. but it also can be good, done well. i dont actually think it's so bad now. at a point it was pretty arsey, to be fair. i think a freedom is returning - but at the same time, there is still the lingering memory of people being slated furiously in the past for such things, and naturally that makes people less likely to respond in such a manner, when in all honesty, was there ever anything wrong with those initial posts? i think not. for those who in future look to belittle someone's posts, look at what they have said as though it were a friend who wrote it. if that doesnt change your opion of the post,fair enough. but i don't want this place to go back to how it was then. because to be fair, it was shit and made us all look like we had our heads stuck up our arses. that is all.
