My insurance for the flat I own in skirt land and rent out is with Standard Life and costs £20 a month for all contents and structural damage. I'm am also protected against tennants damaging my furniture etc...

Down here I'm insured through the estate agent and it's a lot cheaper, roughly £10 with all personal belongings listed and priced.

Standard Life are good for paying out etc... my mate had a problem with a burst washing machine flooding the joint and he got his living room and kitchen all kitted out brand new.

Direct Line always cheapest. I get quotes of others now and then but they're always the lowest.

I pay bout £26 a month but that's buildings ins as well. You should be able to get contents covered for about a tenner, and you can pay monthly DD
