Debt collection agencys Has anyone owed money from a old address and been tracked down by a Debt collection agency before? Iv got a radom gas bill for somewhere iv never even lived!! Say u live in a student house under the name "Bob Smith" and leave the house after a year leaving no forwarding address. You DONT give details such as NI numbers and details PERSONAL to only you. So how do they know which Bob Smith to look for?
I had problems with experian due to my brother from an old address. It's all sorted now. You can get a report from experian for £2 and then challenge the credit. I thought it was breaking the data protection actgiving details of your families financial history out without permission but apparently not.
