with all them rapists and child sex attackers, im of the opinion of, what harm can it do, take them bastards off the streets, and stop a few more would-be villiains

I watched an interesting documentry the other night about a anti-death penalty English lawyer in America. He is now helping the Guantanamo Bay detainees. Anyway, his arguement against people who say executing murderers is a way to "Rid the world of evil" was "Everyone has a dark secret which no one else knows about. If you told everyone about this dark secret, they would want to rid the world of you aswell". Interseting stuff.

civilisation has moved on, there is no argument for bringing it back.

I think the grey area would where would we draw the line? Which murderers would get the death penalty? Someone who killed her husband who had an affair? And all jury convictions will always have some grey area IMO.

for a rapist, executing them is too easy... for murders I'll use the ghandi quote.

yes but 4 there crimes they deserve the worst penalty, which is death, getting 10 years and being released after 6 4 good behaviour, thats not very fair on there victims


if anything should happen 2 my daughter, i would kill the bastards and take whatever the law states, if they said death, then so b it.

but the amount of bad, bad crime happing today, i think the sentancing is wrong.

I think, along with abortion and censorhip, capital punishment is the most difficult topic to gain a consensus on.

anyone seen "the life of david gale"? it is an amazing film on why the death penalty should stay abolished, i would encourage anyone who thinks we should have a death penalty to watch it.

mistakes will always be made, and one mistake is all the justification i need to never see another person executed for a crime.
