used to be south park and simpsons

havent watched anything other than simpson in the last year or so, and that purely been down to the fact i havent had access to anything else.

i keep meaning to watch family guy as everyone keeps bugging me about it - but i cant be arsed i have always got a squillion other things to do.

i think im getting old

Family Guy is fuckin shit in my opinion, the jokes are random as out.

Cannot beat The Simpsons or Futurama.

South Park and Family guy really.

however there is a southpark episode that opens your eyes to family guys poor writing techniques. And how many sketches in family guy are like "hey, its like that time i was MR Ts hair stylist" or some shit like that

Yeah, but that's what's funny about it. I don't care how poor or uncreative the writing is, aslong as it's funny.

Speech by the writer and creatorof Family Guy, Seth Macfarlane.

During his speech at the Harvard class day 2006, in character as Stewie Griffin, MacFarlane rebutted:

“ You're wondering to yourselves: what can I expect from the outside world? Will I find my niche? What should I know about the vast territory that lies beyond the confines of my little subculture of textbooks, Ramen noodles, coin-operated laundry and TV shows that seem to think they can skate by with random jokes about giant chickens that have absolutely nothing to do with the overall narrative? The boys at South Park are absolutely correct: Those cutaways and flashbacks have nothing to do with the story! They're just there to be ... funny. And that is a shallow indulgence that South Park is quite above, and for that I salute them .
