Lol its asking for bother like.Despite having a decent season for wigan our fans would not take to him at all and would give him shit everytime he made a mistake. Not really impressed by any of the defenders we are being linked with

On a lighter note, the Sol/Toon rumour is surfacing again, hope it comes off.

Come on man Graham, where are you?

'I think he'd be a good signing, he's ironed out all the mistakes'

Fuck me, its on here before sky sports/SAFC.com? Cheers lads.........

Gotta say its a strange one for me like, though we may just be repaying him for a couple of cracking own goals he has scored for us when playing for Wigan over the past couple of years? Or maybe Bruce is just getting the fans another laughing stock for entertainment and rinsing value after having Celtic's eyes out over Daryl Murphy...

I could be and hope that I am proved wrong... though as long as he is nowhere near the 1st team come the opening game then cant say i am that bothered really like.

TBF he has improved quite dramatically since his Newcastle days, won player of the year at Wigan season before last iirc and also said that it was Steve Bruce who was responsible for bringing the best out of him at Wigan, plus transfer fee mentioned on Sky Sports as being between £750k - £1 million so hardly taking a big risk if the move dosen't work out.

I thought he looked canny in the Spurs V Wigan game. Wigan only let 79 goals past them last season he must have really improved.
