IMO there paid far to much money and the love of the game in my eyes had disappeared

Maybe so but its spoiling the whole game in general!! I used to love watching football with my dad as a kid the players earned crap compared to what they do now but they really got stuck in

aye the wages are astronomical, but the players cant be blamed for the wage increase... its all down to the increased money coming into football through tv and advertising... its a global brand. compare it to a few decades back when players were effectively treated as slaves until people like jimmy hill fought back and more recently jean-marc bosman.

i agree many players are pampered twats who need a kick up the shitter, but there are still some great players who dont act like spoilt pimadonnas. the only way to change the game is to take the money out, but that isnt gonna happen because its now a profitable business. :)

exactly, he is highly marketable and makes his sponsors money... buts its not his fault people are willing to throw millions at him. plus i ont mind beckham so much as other people, he doesnt act like a primadonna all the time and seems quite down to earth in interviews... its just the media will print every little detail about him so he becomes seperated from reality.

It didn't do British basketball any favours. All that happened was that the good players went elsewhere resulting in a lack of development/talent in Britain.

even if they did they would get the rest of ther wages through bonuses etc, the big clubs would find ways around it etc.
