    Phone Line

I need a phone line installing in my new house. Its only going to be used for broadband.

BT want to charge me £124.99 to do so and then £12.50 line rental a month after that. Robbing bastards

TalkTalk will do it for £69.99 but I have to take both broadband and phone out with them (I can get o2 broadband with unlimited usage and up to 8 meg speed for £7.50 a month. Can't find anything cheaper than that).

I've found a company called Primus who will do it for £69.99 and then charge £9.15 line rental after that. I can't find any reviews on them on the net though. Has anyone used them before?

Anyone know anywhere else I could get it done cheaper?

can you get virgin in your area? sure they do standalone?

if not i kno sky are doing standalone but the broadband isnt amazing

base package 2 meg speed 2 gig usage - free
    everyday 10 meg speed 10 gig usage - 5quid
    unlimited 20meg unlimited usage - 10/15quid

need a bt line or a sky line which im sure costs 30quid install for the line and obviously the speeds all depend on how far you are from your local exchange etc

Looks like i'm going to take the primus offer £69.99 new line charge and then £9.15 line rental (with free evening and weekend calls). Add to that o2 broadband with unlimited usage and up to 8 meg speed for £7.50 its only gonna be costing £16.65 per month :D

Just phoned up and double checked. it doesn't have to be a bt line but it can't be a primus one. Better cancel that order in the morning.... looks like I'm gonna have to pay bt the robbing bastards
